Besides cultivating the standard repertory from Bach to world premieres of temporary music (see CV) Lehrbaumer has a special liking for the Vienna Classical Period and for the works of Schubert and Liszt, but also for true rarities: mostly late romantic ones or modern pieces, especially those influenced by Jazz.
The artist loves to accept challenges like suggestions from promoters or festivals, focussing on a certain topic and responds to them with special programmes. On the other hand Lehrbaumer presents exceptionally "composed" programmes of his own which partly have appeared on CDs, or are in preparation as for example:

Within the standard repertory (baroque up to world premieres of new music) the accent lies on Bach, Reger, Franz Schmidt and the French romanticism.

Combination programs for piano and organ |
Robert Lehrbaumer has gained great successes by his performing both on the piano and organ in one concert (both in solo recitals and in orchestra concerts.). He usually starts such a concert with a central thread, showing either common or contrary points in the works performed on both instruments.
Highly appreciated by the audience in concert halls including an organ or churches where a grand piano can be placed; or: as "Wandering Concerts" with the first part in a church and the second in a nearby hall.

Similar to the piano repertory the pianist's preference and special forte thus are the Vienna Classical Period and Schubert.
As to the Romantic Period he feels attracted especially by the German and Austrian works.
As a conductor he is deeply interested in the performing of contemporary music as a consequence of which he was confided a number of first performances and many works were even dedicated to him.
Conducting solo concerts from the piano or organ repeatedly found excellent response in the public as well as in press reviews.

Here is an example for an unusual project as to the programme which is going to be repeated because of its great success:
